The work of Emine Şahinaz Akalın revolves around the examination of conditions of the visible as conditions of being. Since art operates in the social field, for her the confrontation with the visible and invisible and the sayable and unsayable, the sensual and the rational, is a political dimension: art is always about a critical self-positioning of the artist in society. In this way, new spaces of interpretation are expanded, using the poetry of a formal language as a strategy.
