In her
drawings, E. Ş. Akalın deals with various levels of abstraction and
types of lines: from the
silhouette to the actual birth of a line, effected by adjacent
areas. The results are poly-semantic drawings, which span the
entire spectrum of reference from reality to the dissolution of
reality.
